Private pottery sessions at Touchtree are designed for small groups of 3–10 people and are fully customisable. They’re a lovely way to slow down, spend time together, and enjoy a creative experience in a calm and peaceful setting. Whether you’re gathering with friends, celebrating something special, or planning a work get-together, the session is designed to feel relaxed, hands-on, creative & connected.
My teaching style is very beginner-friendly and encourages people to enjoy the process of working with clay: to create, play, explore, and make something uniquely their own. No prior pottery experience is needed.
All private sessions are based around handbuilding with clay, using techniques such as slab building, imprinting, and pinch pots. Projects are chosen to suit the time available and may include pieces such as serving platters, cheese boards, dipping bowls, trinket dishes, pinch pots, and tealight houses.

These sessions include plenty of guidance throughout, with time to settle in, connect, and enjoy the rhythm of making together. I also allow a natural pause during the session while the clay rests, before we move on to refining the finished pieces.
You’re welcome to bring your own drinks and nibbles, and the organiser is welcome to arrive 30 minutes before the session to set up. I also allow 15 minutes after the session for pack-down.
Private Clay Gathering — 2 hours
A relaxed, experience-led session with a focus on creativity, connection, and the joy of working with clay together.

Private Clay Experience — 3 hours
A more spacious session with extra time to explore the pottery process, refine your pieces, and go a little deeper into clay techniques.
