Bring a little of the natural world into clay.

2 hour workshop

Saturday 14/11/2026 | 2pm–4pm

In this much-loved Touchtree workshop, we work with soft slabs of white clay and press leaves, flowers, twigs and other gathered botanicals into the surface, capturing their delicate veins, textures and forms in permanent detail.

You’ll then gently shape your clay into a functional piece — or a small trio of pieces — such as a trinket dish, ring dish, soap dish or spoon rest. Many makers find there’s time to create more than one, allowing you to explore different botanical textures and make a small collection that feels uniquely your own.

This is a beautiful introduction to clay for beginners and a firm favourite for nature lovers. The process is slow, intuitive and wonderfully satisfying: choosing natural materials, pressing them into clay, revealing the imprint and watching an everyday object become something quietly special.

No previous pottery experience is needed. Come with curiosity, a love of texture and a willingness to let nature lead the design.
