Ritual & Reverence - Sunday 1 November 2026

Sunday 01/11/2026 | 10am–2pm

Create a small ceramic shrine inspired by the symbols, memories, objects and rituals that hold meaning for you.

This is a more intuitive and sculptural Touchtree workshop, inviting you to work slowly and thoughtfully as you build a piece that feels personal, symbolic and entirely your own.

Using hand-building techniques, you’ll shape a small shrine or altar form in clay, then add texture, relief, symbols, openings, niches or small sculptural details that reflect something meaningful to you. Your inspiration might come from a person, a place, a memory, a daily ritual, an object you treasure, or simply a feeling you want to honour.

There is no single way to make a shrine. Your piece might be quiet and minimal, richly detailed, playful, nostalgic or deeply personal. The emphasis is on creating something that holds meaning rather than following a prescribed design.

No previous pottery experience is needed. Jess will guide you through the construction process while giving you space to follow your own ideas and instincts.

Perfect for:

Makers drawn to symbolism and storytelling

Anyone who enjoys sculptural hand-building

Those wanting a slower, more reflective creative experience
